The Science Behind the Fun

Focus Flow is built on established principles of cognitive training. The core gameplay is a “Go/No-Go” task, a classic method used in psychology to train and measure key attention skills:

• Sustained Attention: The need to constantly monitor the screen helps you practice holding your focus for extended periods.
• Selective Attention: By forcing you to identify a specific target (the correct color orb) among distractors, the game trains your brain to filter out irrelevant information.
• Inhibitory Control: The most crucial skill—you must actively resist the impulse to react to the wrong targets. This strengthens the part of your brain responsible for impulse control and decision-making.

How to Play

The goal is simple, but the challenge will grow!

1. Your Mission: Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys on your keyboard to move your ship at the bottom of the screen.
2. The Target: A “Target Color” will be shown at the start of the game. Your goal is to catch all the Energy Orbs that match this color.
3. The Challenge: Avoid catching orbs of any other color! Catching the wrong color will end the game.
4. Stay Sharp: The speed will increase, and the target color may change as your score gets higher. Stay focused!
