What does DAST-10 measure?
It screens for problems and consequences related to drug use other than alcohol in the last 12 months.
Does it include alcohol or tobacco?
No. DAST-10 focuses on non-alcohol drugs. Consider adding AUDIT or a similar alcohol screen separately if needed.
How is it scored?
Score 1 for each Yes, except item 3 where No scores 1. Total 0 to 10.
How do I interpret my result?
General guide: 0 none, 1 to 2 low, 3 to 5 moderate, 6 to 8 substantial, 9 to 10 severe. Use clinical judgment and consider further assessment or referral when elevated.
