About IASQ
IASQ is a brief caregiver-report autism screen with 10 yes or no items. It was developed from the Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism and validated for ages 3 to 18. A positive screen at a cutoff of 1 yes showed very high sensitivity and moderate specificity in studies. You can set a stricter cutoff for more specificity if needed.
Items are public domain as published in PLOS ONE. No endorsement is implied.

IASQ FAQ
What ages is IASQ for
IASQ was validated for ages 3 to 18 and is caregiver reported. It can be used in community and clinic screening.
How is IASQ scored
Each item is yes or no. Total is the count of yes responses from 0 to 10. A cutoff of 1 yes is the most sensitive and flags many children for a full evaluation. You can choose 2 or 3 yes cutoffs for more specificity.
Is IASQ a diagnosis
No. It is a screen. Only licensed professionals can diagnose after a comprehensive assessment.
Do you store answers
No. Answers are saved in your browser only. If you copy the share link, data is encoded in the link itself.
What if my child screens positive
Share results with your clinician or school. Ask for a full developmental evaluation. Meanwhile, you can try supportive routines like visual schedules and simple regulation skills. See the tool suggestions above.
Can adults use IASQ
IASQ was designed for children and adolescents. Adults should seek tools validated for adults and a clinical evaluation.
